Our principal lawyer, Laura O’Grady, was admitted to legal practice in 2010 after completing her studies at the University of Tasmania. Since then, she has dedicated her entire career to working in children’s law. Laura began her legal journey at a small firm and, in 2018, established her own practice to focus more closely on supporting families and young people navigating the legal system.

Laura is known for her calm, kind approach and her strong, effective advocacy. She brings empathy, clarity, and strength to every case — qualities that matter when legal issues feel overwhelming or deeply personal.

As a member of the Victorian Legal Aid private practitioner panel, Laura is able to offer legally aided representation to eligible clients.
